The Church: Our Guaranteed Hope

The Apostle Paul reminds us, as the church, in 1 Corinthians 15:1-28 that the good news that we must hold fast to is that Jesus lived a perfect life in our place, drank the cup of God's wrath against our sin in our place, died in our place, and then rose from the grave victorious over sin, death, and Satan fully pleasing and acceptable to God, not in our place - but serving as the “firstfruit” of the harvest - the guarantee of the future harvest when he returns for his own. And though each of us will indeed die, we who are IN CHRIST will be raised up imperishable in glory to be with him forever. This is our hope. This is our life. This is our joy. This is what we live for. This is what we die for. This is why we exist. The Reality of the Resurrection of Jesus guarantees our hope for today, tomorrow, and forever.
